Fairy tales can be Grimm

Okay, so maybe I was a typical little girl when I was younger, but when I was a little kid and I really believed in fairy tales, and I think a part of me had a fantasy of what my life would be: a white dress, a fairy godmother and a prince charming who would whisk me away to a castle on a hill. I would lie in bed at night after having read those fairy tales and had complete and utter faith. (Sickening now, I know). Fairies, magic, Prince Charming, they were so close I could taste them, but thank God I grew up pretty quickly, and realised how naïvely I had bought into these inaccurate ideals of life.
